Update Build of RPG (7/15/2019)

Well not quite six months since my last update but pretty close. Here's the latest build of my project for those who would like to try it out.

With this build, I've created the entire world for the main scene of the game. The main quest which is finding and gaining entry into the dragon's lair is complete. There are several side quests you can try out that in some cases involve solving 2D puzzles. One thing I changed from my last build to this build was how the map was going to work. In the previous build, once the player finds a landmark and it had been added to the map, the map allowed you to move your player to those locations on the map you had discovered. I decided that gave the player too much power to early in the game.  I therefore changed the map to only allow for player teleportation once the player has solved a particular puzzle.

I wanted to note this also as it took me over a month to finally resolve an issue I had with my build. I was using Unity 2017.4.5 for the past several builds and had no issues. With this build, the game worked fine until you used a saved game to play from. At that point, the game failed to load with an access violation error coming up. I combed google and the unity forums for any suggestions - updating all my drivers, allowing my firewall to see the game as an exception, etc, etc. Nothing worked. I finally found a post that talked about there were only 4 versions of Unity that seemed to work and didn't issue this access violation message. So I went and compiled my game under version 2017.2.5 and now it works. I just went to the Unity Hub's Installs - Official Releases and choose one that falls in the 2017 range. So if anyone else experiences the same problem, try using an official release version of Unity.

Now all I have left is the big boss battle at the end ... which I'm planning to be more like a search and destroy mission rather than a big final combat. I'm thinking along the lines of Sekiro and the giant snake.
